Data CenterThe data center is the hub where everything goes on. It's usually in one big room and computers and communications are located in this room. the data center in terms means where everything goes on and all the data is stored. For example a bank has a data center where all the banks records are and protected from many different elements. The data center also needs many things. Let's take a deeper look at the data center and it's needs. Most data centers can occupy one whole room and bigger companies can actually take up a whole building. In these rooms are many different things, but mostly servers take up all the room. Air conditioning is used to keep these rooms a constant temperature as they have to protect the equipment and temperature change is never good for them. Another very important thing about these data centers is the security is extremely tight. Information usually in these data centers are sometimes classified and you have to pass many things before you can even get access. Video camera's are another thing that is used alot in these data centers. Another big use of data centers are offsite for backups. Many times their just isn't room for the data and backup sites are used to store the data. This happens alot anymore as it seems we save data from about anything anymore. Data is king as we as a society love information and never seem to ever get enough of it. In the future I see more and more data centers popping up as we run out of room trying to save all this information. Data center management is going to play a big part in the future of data operations. We are going to need to get a grip on the data we save and the data we really don't need. Managing data has to become a priority or we are going to have more problems in the future. Data centers are going to become over burden and they will be more acceptable to breakin's which is another thing companies will have to deal with. Security breaches are becoming more often occurrences as people's data come up missing. This really puts people's lives in peril and that is never a good thing. Data must be protected no matter what.
